Your librarian absolutely LOVES the Olympics! Winter or Summer, I am all for it! So I wanted to bring a little of the Olympic spirit into our library this year. Pre-Kinder through 1st grade students were able to participate in Library Olympics during their library lesson time. Students competed in different events to show off their growing library and information skills. Events included a Call Number Sort, ABC Order Sequencing, Fiction and Non-fiction Characteristics Matching, and even a Fiction and Non-fiction Relay Race that caused a bit of a ruckus in our main hallway! Students learned a lot about the library and also about teamwork, collaboration, and good sportsmanship.
