NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month. It is an international event in which people pledge to write a novel (or shorter book) during the month of November. This year, our campus will be participating through a library club. Students can come after school for help with their stories, to find a quiet place to write, and to have friends for support.
The NaNoWriMo club will begin meeting during the month of October so students can begin planning their stories. All writing will be done in November. Students will have individualized word count goals and will commit to writing every day. If students meet their goals during the month, they are "winners"! We will continue with editing and illustrating the stories in December.
If you would like to participate, please see the librarian for more information or come to our first meeting on Monday, October 10 at 3:15 in the library.
